The GFP is a Miami MA/MAT degree program that combines field work at conservation and education hotspots globally with collaborative work in web-based learning communities. Dragonfly, in partnership with leading institutions and communities worldwide, offers Earth Expeditions field courses.
Earth Expeditions combine collaborative projects via web learning communities with summer field experiences in conservation and education hotspots in the Amazon, Australia, Baja, Belize, Borneo, Brazil, Costa Rica, Galápagos, Guyana, Hawai’i, India, Kenya, Mongolia, Namibia, Paraguay and Thailand. EE courses can be taken as individual courses or can be combined as part of the GFP. Applicants elect to pursue either a MAT or MA degree from Miami University. MA and MAT students go through the GFP together. Note: The MAT program does not confer a teaching license. Applicants with no education background should apply for the MA, not the MAT degree.
