Program Description:

Become an effective educator and role model for gifted students with Lindenwood University’s online Master of Arts in gifted education, and discover how to develop instructional methods and services to make a positive impact in the lives of gifted students. Gifted education is crucial as it ensures that all students can learn at a pace that ensures their success through coursework that is aligned to their needs; It helps keep gifted students engaged in the classroom and improves their self-esteem.

Our master’s in gifted education online program teaches students how to examine and evaluate the needs of students of varying abilities and school districts to create a conducive learning environment. Explore ways to work with parents, administrators, and school board members. This program also provides multiple opportunities throughout the academic year to interact with guest speakers who are well-versed in the field.

Throughout our master’s program, students will learn to effectively prepare curricula for the education of gifted students in the K–12 setting. This includes learning to utilize various tools to assess the educational needs of gifted students, incorporating advancement and enrichment. Graduates will understand the differential affective characteristics and needs of gifted students.

In addition, our MA in gifted education is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and provides an add-on Missouri teaching certification.
