Program Description:

The Johns Hopkins University, through an innovative collaboration of its schools of Business, Education, Medicine, Nursing, and Public Health, is offering a world class degree – the Master of Education in the Health Professions (MHEP) – that will prepare a new generation of health professionals to teach effectively for schools and training programs related to medicine, public health, nursing, and other health professions.

Designed for professionals who want a high quality part-time learning experience, this interprofessional and new interdisciplinary program will combine expertise in health-related content areas with the knowledge of effective teaching methods, cultural competencies, modern technologies, curriculum planning, and organizational change management. By using hypothesis driven, research supported evidenced-based scholarship and practice, health professionals will be prepared to navigate the rapidly evolving educational landscape and lead the transformation of education for health professions. Program participants will be paired with expert educators, educational leaders, and educational researchers in the health professions who will mentor them throughout the program.
