Program Description:

The Family Nurse Practitioner Graduate Certificate is designed for the registered nurse who already holds a master degree in nursing, and now wishes to add Family Nurse Practitioner Certification. This online program consists of 22-33 credit hours, depending on prior coursework completed in the individual's master degree program. Courses are delivered via the Internet. No on-campus visits are required. Upon successful completion of program requirements, a certificate is awarded and students are eligible to apply for American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) certification.


Indiana State University's Nursing Program is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission.
