Grand Canyon University's Graduate Certificate of Completion in Geropsychology is designed for individuals with a bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, nursing, communications or a similar field. The program is designed for anyone wishing to use an advanced study of psychology to improve the lives and care of aging populations. Available through the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, this geropsychology program allows you to use theories and research as influence toward positive changes in physical and mental health being carried out through our health care delivery system. Topics of study in the Graduate Certificate of Completion in Geropsychology program include assisting aging adults and their families with anxiety, depression and physical issues associated with the aging process. You also conduct research on physical and mental conditions related to aging such as dementia and Alzheimer's, and other effects placed upon the body and mind during the latter stages of the life cycle
