The coursework and experiences associated with Edinboro University’s Post Master’s K-12 Principal Certification program prepares the candidate to promote the success of all students by becoming a building level leader within the K-12 school system. “Leadership for Student Achievement” is the common thread throughout the program. Upon successful completion of the program, individuals will make application for PA Principal K-12 certification. Successful completion of the program and achievement of the qualifying score on the School Leaders Licensure Assessment (SLLA) 1011 or 6011 will lead to Principal K-12 Certification. Individuals who have successfully completed another master’s degree program may also be eligible to receive the M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Edinboro University of PA.
Note: Certification procedures in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania require that the candidates must pass the PRAXIS Exam required by the Pennsylvania Department of Education before certification will be granted. Candidates seeking certification in another state shall follow the corresponding procedures required by the given state. Only international students who hold immigrant status, and have submitted a form of intent to become a citizen, are eligible to apply for PDE teacher certification.
