M. Ed. Adult Education
Familiarize yourself with the principles of andragogy—the teaching of adults—in the Master of Education – Adult Education online program from Eastern Washington University.
Develop the rudiments of assessment and classroom management as they pertain to adult learners. The curriculum is grounded in evidence-based research, addressing useful strategies and techniques, and encouraging self-reflection among the tools to teach adults effectively.
Prepare for a broad range of roles working with adults in post-secondary educational settings, including community college vocational or GED programs, adult basic skills programs, in-service coordination in corporate and nonprofit settings, military training, and more.
Taught by supportive faculty with experience in the field, the program includes an internship of 120 hours with a mentor in a project related to your professional interests. You must also submit a portfolio and complete a comprehensive exam in lieu of a traditional thesis or research report.
