MS - Nursing Education with Clinical Focus
Get ready to train the next generation of nurses and help end the nursing shortage while being able to provide your patients with advanced clinical care. D’Youville’s online master’s in nursing education has a clinical focus and allows you to focus your clinical studies in pediatrics, women’s health, or general adult care.
By graduation, you can:
Help students foster a desire for lifelong learning while teaching them to think critically and communicate accurately.
Develop educational programs for patients, groups, communities, industries, insurance providers, and government agencies.
Collaborate across healthcare disciplines and work with information systems to assure your patients and their families have access to information and can understand it.
Share your healthcare knowledge to professionals working in hospitals, rehab facilities, and long-term care, outpatient, and home settings.
In addition to your classes, you’ll take two practicums: teaching and direct care. This requirement allows you to gain real-world experience in your place of employment while receiving cross-disciplined training.
The online master’s in education is offered 90% online. It can be completed in as little as two years.
The Patricia H. Garman School of Nursing received a 2019-2020 HRSA grant to address the shortage of nurse educators. These funds will be used for faculty loan repayment plans of up to 85% of the tuition cost for eligible students who complete the MS in Nursing Education program and commit to teach nursing for four years post-graduation.
