M.Ed. in TESOL

The fully online Master of Education in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from Concordia University, Nebraska will prepare you to teach literacy and the English language to diverse populations of learners. Our program is designed for PK-12 teachers and instructors working with adult learners. It is also ideal for those who wish to become dedicated ESL instructors either nationally or abroad, plus those who would like to work as ESL professionals in immigration or refugee programs, community centers, afterschool programs and other settings.

Our TESOL master’s curriculum is accredited by the NCATE and includes theory and practical applications to prepare you for your chosen field. In addition to accreditation from NCATE, our master’s in TESOL online degree program meets both Nebraska’s English Second Language Endorsement and TESOL International Association standards. If you are seeking Nebraska ESL endorsement, you can complete 15 hours of specific coursework in our TESOL program. If you reside in another state, ESL certification is possible and is based on specific licensure requirements and program approval in that state.
