Program Description:

Adult students who have already earned an accredited bachelor’s degree may qualify for admission to the Early Childhood Education Licensing program. The Early Childhood Education Licensing program, typically scheduled in evening and weekend format, can be completed in approximately 16 months of study, including a minimum of 16 weeks of student teaching. Students in the licensing programs are often able to retain their present job or homemaking responsibilities and still complete coursework requirements. However, the student teaching component requires a full-time day commitment for the time of the assignment.

The Early Childhood Education Licensing program requires completion of a minimum of 93 semester hours as follows:

  • General Education and Liberal Arts Core (37 credits)
  • Professional Core (56 credits)
