One certification option is available: Education Technologies and Emerging Media, Two master's degree options are available. Students may earn a MS degree, with or without New York State certification.
Our fully online, Educational Technologies programs give you the flexibility to choose between two graduate degrees and one certificate option:
Online MS in Education Technologies - Leads to New York State certification as an Educational Technology Specialist. You will focus on the purposeful use of technology for teaching and learning with a major emphasis on the application of technologies for content literacy.
Online MS in Education Technologies – Does not lead to New York State certification. Choose this degree if you wish to deliver online courses and programs both within a formal educational setting and in training environments outside of education.
Both of these master's degree choices give you the opportunity to apply major projects and papers to your current work or desired professional goals.
Online Education Technologies Advanced Certificate – Does not lead to New York State certification. Enhances your instructional strategies if you teach in higher education, primary and secondary school, or work as a trainer outside of education. You can complete the course requirements in as little as 16 weeks.
Accreditation:The School of Education and Human Services is accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
International Student Requirements:Additional Requirements for International Students Canadian and other international applicants must provide a completed Certification of Finances Form. International students who have completed university coursework outside the U.S. and Canada are required to have their transcripts and degrees evaluated by a foreign credential evaluation service such as World Education Services (WES) TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score, IELTS (International English Language Testing System) score, or a CAEL (Canadian Academic English Language) score. TOEFL: 79 IBT or 550 PBT IELTS: 6.5 overall CAEL: 70 overall Students from Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa are waived from the language proficiency requirement. Student who completed a 4 year degree (on campus) at a U.S. college/university are waived from the language proficiency requirement.
