Program Description:

The online Social Work in Health Care advanced certificate program is a five-course sequence that prepares social workers for opportunities across the continuum of settings in the United States health care system.  Students will build knowledge and skills in a range of areas, from interprofessional consultation, team-based intervention, and care models and to policy, finance, and information management. Students complete three core courses (U.S. Health Care System, Social Work Practice in Health Care, and Applied Topics in Health Care), one elective course, and a capstone project through a virtual learning environment. This program is available to both current graduate students and licensed social workers. 


Binghamton University - SUNY is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The Master of Social Work (MSW) program is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
