Bethany Theological Seminary (Church of the Brethren)
Graduate Degree Programs
Master of Arts
Master of Arts
54-credit degree designed for further doctoral work, non-profit, faith-based vocations, or simply wrestling with theological cares and concerns. Our approach to this research and writing degree is much more "liberal arts," if you will. Meaning, because orthopraxy (how we practice our faith) is just as important as orthodoxy (what we believe about our faith), then you will explore classes in ministry in addition to the reading and writing. It's all about integrating what we learn with how we live and lead.
Accreditation:Bethany is fully accredited by The Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada and The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. The Association of Theological Schools (ATS) is a membership organization in the United States and Canada of schools educating individuals after their baccalaureate education. These member schools prepare individuals for the ministries of preaching and teaching. The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools (HLC) is an accreditation organization which uses a body of peer reviewers to grant membership to degree-granting post-secondary schools.
