Master of Arts in Applied Behavior Analysis with an Emphasis in Autism

Format: Online

Program Description:

Ball State University’s master of arts in applied behavior analysis with an emphasis in autism prepares ABA therapists, teachers, psychologists, social workers, and other human service professionals to fill a national shortage. This master’s degree is approved by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and prepares students to sit for the BCBA exam to earn certification as a board-certified analyst. It’s one of a few online programs in the United States with BACB course work, and Ball State is just one of a few schools offering a master’s degree in ABA with the BACB-certification course work. All faculty in the ABA program are BCBA approved. Ball State was the first in the state of Indiana to offer the master’s in applied behavior analysis with an emphasis in autism. Another option for students is one of Ball State’s graduate certificates in a specialized special education area. Options in license areas mean that students can earn an add-on license to their initial licensure. With the right combination of graduate certificate and license options, students can literally build their own master’s degree. This 30-credit-hour program is offered 100 percent online and can be completed in 18 to 24 months. Eight-week courses are available for those who wish to accelerate their program.
