Antioch University’s online MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling allows you to channel your passion for helping others into a meaningful and rewarding career as a mental health counselor.

Help people address the personal, family, and social issues that makes living healthy and productive lives challenging for them. Graduate from Antioch Univeristy ready to work in community agencies, substance abuse and addictions treatment, in-patient treatment, and college counseling settings. Learn from current practitioners who will prepare you to impact people’s lives and provide treatment that makes a difference.

Students may choose an optional focus:

  • Substance Abuse and Addictions Counseling (SAAC)
  • Counseling Military Service Personnel and their Families (MSPF)

The program consists of:

  • Sixty credits of online study
  • Two weeklong in-person intensives
  • A semester-long practicum (100 to 300 hours)
  • A 3-semester internship (600 hours or more based on state requirements)

This degree will meet your educational requirements for licensure as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor or Licensed Professional Counselor in most states.
