Teaching English as a Second Language
English is the international language for trade and technology. That fact has created a huge demand for ESL teachers in every area of the world. Schools, corporations, and adult education programs are seeking ESL professionals to train immigrants to the United States. The TESL program offers another career path as well. Although many nations will not grant visa to missionaries and evangelists, those same countries eagerly open their borders for TESL instructors. This program does not meet the requirements for a teaching certificate. It is offered both in residence and through the Summer Institute program.
