Program Description:

Although the interests of most students fall within the confines of existing programs in established departments, in some instances the interests and needs of a student may dictate that a unique graduate program be established under the auspices of the Interdisciplinary Ph.D. Program over which the Division of Research and Advanced Studies exercises administrative supervision. A separate student's committee of 5 members (at least 3 of whom must be members of the graduate faculty), is formed for each such student in the interdisciplinary Ph.D.Program.
