The underlying philosophy of the Master of Community Planning (MCP) degreeis the education of planners who are "generalists with a specialty." Within thispedagogical perspective, planning is viewed as a fundamental type of humanactivity which has wide scale applicability. Its methods and processes are usedin both the public and private sectors of the economy, at various scales(national, regional and local), and across substantive areas of concern.
