Students who attend Tiffin University online can take advantage of programs that are flexible and optimized according to their career goals. Online learners have many opportunities to communicate with classmates and professors, including discussion forums and direct messaging.

Tiffin University Moodle

Online students must have daily access to a computer and the internet in order to utilize the Tiffin University Moodle Learning System: an open source software that provides a robust, secure and personalized learning environment for activities such as assignment submission, discussion forums and file downloads.

Tiffin University On-Campus

For traditional seated students, the Tiffin, Ohio campus features historic red brick and sandstone buildings that date back to the 1880s as well as newer facilities such as the Tiffin University bookstore, the Heminger Center, Hertzer Technology Center and the Hayes Center for the Arts. Graduate and undergraduate programs are also offered in Fremont, Toledo, at several sites in the Greater Cleveland area and in Bucharest, Romania.

Admissions

TU’s online admissions process is simple and there is no application fee.

Minimum requirements for Bachelor’s degree program applicants:

  • Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent, graduation from an accredited associate degree program or currently attending an accredited undergraduate degree program
  • Minimum 2.25 GPA for freshman applicants; minimum 2.0 GPA for transfer applicants
Minimum requirements for Master’s degree program applicants:
  • Bachelor’s degree, three-year undergraduate professional degree from an accredited higher education institution or currently attending an accredited MBA program
  • Undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0
  • Resume or curriculum vitae
  • Personal statement with clear goal for pursuing graduate studies
For MBA applicants, completion of undergraduate courses in at least eight of the following subjects: marketing, business finance, accounting, management, legal environment, economics, business ethics, global dimension, information systems, statistics/mathematics, business policy

Students can pursue a degree on campus, online, or enjoy a little bit of both. Programs are concentrated in three schools:

Tiffin University School of Business

The mission of the Tiffin University School of Business is to prepare students for professional, managerial, and leadership positions in both the public sector and private sector for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. Emphasis is placed on development of the communication, technical, analytical, and critical thinking skills needed by successful organizations competing in a global environment. Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration degree programs are offered in on-campus and online formats.

Tiffin University School of Criminal Justice and Social Sciences

Programs offered through the Tiffin University School of Criminal Justice and Social Sciences blend academic theory with practitioner experience to prepare students to meet current and future criminal justice and social science challenges in a complex and diverse world. Bachelor of Arts (BA), Master of Humanities (MH) and Master of Education (MEd) degree programs are offered in on-campus and online formats.

Tiffin University School of Arts and Sciences

General education courses offered through the Tiffin University School of Arts and Sciences help students develop critical thinking skills and learn how to engage in teamwork, communicate with clarity and understand the cultural and ethical implications of human behavior. Bachelor of Arts (BA), Master of Science (MS) and Master of Science in Criminal Justice (MS in CJ) degree programs are offered in on-campus and online formats.
