MA in Theology
The Master of Arts in Theology is an ecumenically-oriented degree that provides a solid foundation in Christian theology. Graduates of this program are conversant with the primary sources of the Christian Tradition and understand how the Tradition speaks to the contemporary world. They have developed strong research and critical thinking skills as well as an integrated theological vision.
The MA in Theology is a 36 credit hour program consisting of 11 courses and a capstone seminar. Students will study biblical, historical, moral, and systematic theology, focusing on the sources of theology and teaching them the research skills necessary to engage in continued study throughout their lives.
The degree is designed to provide students with a solid theological grounding that will be helpful for members of a variety of Christian traditions. Graduates are prepared for continued study and to be a theological resource for others.
