Program Description:

In the Master of Landscape Architecture (M.L.A.) I (first professional degree) and Master of Landscape Architecture (M.L.A.) II (post-professional degree), students study urban landscapes, with a focus on landscape systems, while balancing ecological and societal determinants. The program emphasizes professional approaches highlighted by sustainable planning and design practices. Students will travel to regional landscapes within the Great Lakes-Ohio River basins to research post-industrial cities, and also have an option to study for a semester at the KSU Florence facility. Individual research studios or multi-disciplinary studios with graduate architecture and urban design students can comprise the final year of study.
