Educators with any current North Carolina license may build skills in leadership, professional academic skills, and understandings of contemporary issues in education. The Masters of Arts in Education also provides educators with a path to additional licensure in

These specific licensure areas provide additional opportunities for employment in an increasingly competitive market. In the course of earning a license in an additional area of certification, students in the Masters level education study are oriented to contemporary issues in education and the diverse needs of students in the schools.
