Program Description:

These rigorous graduate programs combine study and research opportunities under the direction of an internationally known faculty. It is not necessary to have a master's degree to obtain a doctorate. Also, while an applicant must have a bachelor's degree with a strong mathematics background, it is not necessary that the bachelors degree be in Mathematics. Computational Science (certificate) is an emerging discipline, uniting ideas in mathematics and computer science together with applications arising in science and engineering. Students wishing to pursue the Certificate must be admitted for graduate study in the Department.
