Program Description:

University at Buffalo offers an NAAB-accredited Master of Architecture in a 2-year program for those who have undergraduate degrees in architecture and a 3.5-year program for those holding degrees in other disciplines. The University at Buffalo also offers a Master of Science in Architecture for those who are interested in engaging in research and specialized scholarship. Dual degree options with the Master of Urban Planning, Master of Fine Arts, and Master of Business Administration are also available. Planning specializations: 1.) Community Development and Neighborhood Planning 2.) Economic and International Development 3.) Environmental and Land Use Planning 4.) GIS and Spatial Modeling 5.) Urban Design and Physical Planning

Accreditation:

The Department of Urban and Regional Planning offers a two-year master’s in urban planning (MUP) degree that is fully accredited by the Planning Accreditation Board of the Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning.

International Student Requirements:

Students whose first language is not English must demonstrate English proficiency with either a TOEFL or IELTS score. Students taking the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) must score either 550 or higher on the paper-based version, 213 or higher on the computer-based version, or 79 on the internet-based version. Students submitting an International English Language System (IELTS) score must have earned a 6.5 overall score with no individual subscore below 6.0.
