The graduate program is an integrated effort of the Biochemistry and Cell Biology Department and the Pathology Department within an umbrella program of molecular and cellular biology. This program offers the student an extraordinary range of experimental science. Students are involved in ongoing research as soon as they arrive on campus. During the first academic year, they experience research in four different laboratories of program faculty members, with selection aided by the guidance of a faculty adviser. Following the first academic year, a member of the program faculty is selected as a Ph.D. mentor.
