Program Description:

Explore the concept of human communication in electronic environments, programming for interactive multimedia and the application of these techniques to an expanding technology.

As interactive technologies continue to advance and use of the Web increases the importance of enhancing human communication within electronic environments increases. This advanced certificate provides an opportunity for individuals to gain a firsthand knowledge and expertise in the art and science of interactive multimedia design. In this certificate program, students explore the theories of interactive computing, fundamentals of interactive websites and multimedia applications, programming in an authoring language, multimedia design, and the impact of networked technologies the Web. Projects include the development of Web sites and interactive multimedia titles.
