Graduate Certificate in Enterprise Risk Management

Format: Hybrid

Program Description:

The Graduate Certificate in Enterprise Risk Management defines and examines types of risk, with a focus on understanding the process of risk identification, assessment, prevention, insurance, mitigation, and recovery; governance; auditing; and control of the confidentiality, the integrity, and the availability of data.

Utilizing common operational, strategic, tactical, and technological scenarios, the coursework provides you with a comprehensive approach to the challenges faced by managers who deal with readily available global data in situations where risk is pervasive, regulations are ever-increasing, and the threat of disruption from potential crises is real.

This six-course, 18-credit graduate certificate program provides excellent preparation for individuals who need to stay abreast of the continuously evolving needs of the industry. It can be completed in as little as two semesters. Students choose five courses from the list below, and a sixth from any NYU-SCPS master's degree program's concentration courses, except the M.S. in Management and Systems.

The program can be completed fully online, or in a traditional classroom setting, or by blending a combination of the two formats. Courses alternate being offered online and on-site throughout the academic year.
