New York Chiropractic College (NYCC) is a private, not-for profit, accredited institution which offers natural healthcare education. NYCC's 286-acre campus is located in Seneca Falls which is situated in the picturesque Finger Lakes region of upstate New York and overlooks Cayuga Lake.
Founded in 1919 as the Columbia Institute of Chiropractic by Dr. Frank Dean, the university has since expanded and modernized. Today, students could look for a wide range of masters and professional doctorates in disciplines such as Chiropractic, Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, Clinical Nutrition and Diagnostic Imaging.

NYCC has been the recipient of several awards such as the inaugural Chiropractic College of the Year Award by the American Chiropractic Association in 2014. More recently, NYCC earned 15th place on the ‘2018 Best Chiropractic Programs’ list generated by TFE Times.

All states and the District of Columbia require chiropractors to be licensed. Although specific requirements vary by state, all require the completion of an accredited Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree program and a pass on all four parts of NBCE exam.

Highlights include a biodynamics laboratory equipped to investigate areas of neurophysiology and human performance and video conferencing, and multimedia library.
NYCC has been able to establish a diverse range of opportunities for hands-on internships at areas such as the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, the VA healthcare system, Monroe Community Hospital, and the associated health centers of the State University of New York system located in Buffalo and Farmingdale.
In addition to these opportunities, NYCC operates four of its own health centers in Depew, NY near Buffalo; Levittown, NY on Long Island; Rochester, NY; and on campus in Seneca Falls.

NY Chiropractic College offers rolling admissions and students may apply at any time for any trimester. New students who enter the chiropractic program are admitted in the September, January and May trimesters.

New York Chiropractic College is accredited to 2025-26 by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and offers programs that are registered by the New York State Education Department of the University of the State of New York. Several of NYCC’s degree programs bear professional accreditation as well.
New York Chiropractic College offers several programs that could lead to a Master of Science degree as well as a Doctor of Chiropractic program.
Most of the coursework for the MS in Human Anatomy and Physiology Instruction program is delivered online so students could learn at anytime from anywhere they have Internet. The program is planned-out to encompass 36 credits which students could complete over two calendar years.
The Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree program at NYCC could prepare participants to provide primary and collaborative care. It highlights neuro-musculoskeletal conditions and overall patient wellness and students could opt to pursue a dual degree in Acupuncture, Nutrition, Human Anatomy and Physiology Instruction.
At NYCC, the DC degree program is planned-out to cover a minimum of 10, 15-week trimesters of full-time residential study. Participants also prepare through a full-year clinic-based internship. The approximate length in academic years is about five, though students who need more time might do so under the guidance of the Dean of Chiropractic.
The varied course plan includes elements of anatomy, chiropractic philosophy and techniques, clinical experiences and outpatient services as well as business and practice management. Students could also choose several electives to add to core courses, a sampling of which is provided below.
