About Manhattanville College

Manhattanville College is a private, not-for-profit, accredited institution located in the suburb of Purchase, New York. Founded in 1841, Manhattanville started out on Manhattan’s Lower East Side but has since moved to its current home just a half hour from New York City. With a strong graduate enrollment, Manhattanville College confers Masters and Doctorate degrees and post-masters certificates. The school utilizes a semester-based academic calendar with rolling admissions where students could begin in Fall, Spring and Summer. Admissions

Applicants to Manhattanville College fill out an online application to the school they are applying to (E.g. School of Business) and may need program-specific prerequisites. For example, students interested in the MFA degree program must submit a sample of their writing and a personal essay. Candidates for Masters programs typically need to have earned an undergraduate degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 along with the following material.

At the institutional level, Manhattanville is regionally accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Several programs are also accredited by their respective professional agencies.

  • The Masters of Professional Studies in ABA and the Advanced Certificate in ABA are approved by New York State for licensing as a Behavior Analyst and by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board for national certification

Campus Locations

    Whether you want to assess behavior or the financial health of an organization, there are a variety of graduate programs to consider at Manhattanville. Some of these are spotlighted below. Master of Science in Finance With New York City’s financial markets in close proximity, Manhattanville College’s Master of Science in Finance program could immerse students in the world of financial decision processes. A final project is required. Participants in the MSF program may need to complete 12 classes or 36 credits. Of these, all students take compulsory core courses where they might explore a spectrum of key topics.

    Then, students could select one of three concentrations: Corporate Finance, Investment Management, or Accounting. For students whose undergraduate degree is in accounting, the Accounting Specialization could provide the additional academic coursework needed for CPA licensure. Master of Science in Sport Business and Entertainment Management As the name suggests, the Master of Science in Sport Business and Entertainment Management at Manhattanville is all about leadership in the sports industry. An internship is required and there may be a range of opportunities in Westchester and Fairfield County. Participants in the MSBEM program take 36 credits of coursework and could tailor their course plan to focus on one of two concentrations: Sport Business Management or Entertainment Management. In core courses, MSBEM students could develop a holistic understanding of the sport business, management theories and the ways to lead ethically and strategically. A wide array of other topics might discuss some of the following topics.
