Program Information

Degrees Offered:

Differentiated Instruction - Master

Format: Campus

Program Description:

No two students enter a classroom with identical abilities, experiences, and needs. Learning styles, language proficiencies, background knowledge, readiness to learn and many other factors vary from student to student. Differentiated instruction is an instructional theory that will allow you as a teacher to plan and deliver instruction taking all of this into account. Earning a master’s degree from Canisius in differentiated instruction will prepare you to meet every learner’s needs. Our program pairs academic research with practical experience. You’ll design and run a camp called Canisius for Kids. It’s just one of the many ways we help you put your learning into action – so you graduate experienced in the art of teaching. Program Highlights • Start when it works best for you – fall, spring, or summer. • Design and participate in Canisius for Kids, an interdisciplinary camp for grades 2-8 that promotes creative thinking. • Enroll in the only graduate differentiated education master’s degree in the region. • Add New York certification in Gifted and Talented Education to your résumé. • Complete the program in three to four semesters.
