Program Description:

Graduate study at Binghamton University provides outstanding research facilities, interdisciplinary collaboration and cross-disciplinary activities, extensive community services, a rich cultural life, and abundant recreational outlets. The Systems Science and Industrial Engineering Department offers one of relatively few Systems Science programs in the country and has a well-established reputation in electronics packaging and healthcare systems. Classes are available both on campus and online. Degree options within the Systems Science and Industrial Engineering Department include: • M.S. in Systems Science • M.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering • MEng in Industrial Engineering • MEng in Systems Engineering • Ph.D. in Systems Science • Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering The M.S. degrees above are also available in a Health Systems concentration. The Health Systems concentration is achieved through completion of specific, industry-driven coursework that is completed in addition to the base Systems Science or Industrial and Systems Engineering requirements, as well as a final healthcare project or thesis. Topics include human factors engineering, performance improvement, quality, healthcare finance and accounting, healthcare operations management, and other advanced topics in health systems.
