Program Description:

The M.S. in Biology has optional concentrations in molecular biology, physiology, and ecology, evolution, conservation biology.

WHY SHOULD I ENROLL IN ADELPHI’S M.S. IN BIOLOGY PROGRAM?

The M.S. in Biology can prepare you for entrance into professional schools in the health sciences (medicine, dentistry, optometry, podiatry and veterinary medicine) and for research doctoral programs. Graduates also acquire the tools and skills for successful careers in biotechnology, public health and environmental and patent law. For secondary school biology teachers, the graduate program fulfills the requirements of certain tracks for professional certification and expands their knowledge base.

WHAT WILL I STUDY IN THE M.S. IN BIOLOGY PROGRAM

The M.S. offers two tracks: a research thesis or a non-thesis option.

- M.S. in Biology: Research Thesis Track plan of study

- M.S. in Biology: Non-Thesis Track plan of study

Within each of the tracks, students may wish to choose a concentration of related courses. Selecting a concentration is optional and the courses can be taken within the credits needed for the degree. Only one concentration may be chosen.
