Program Description:

Core courses explore the self, the other and the global community. They engage the experience of otherness as part of our own identity. They raise questions of ethics and justice and they address the fears and hopes of the human journey. Elective courses are from many disciplines, including history, philosophy, sociology, political sciences, the physical sciences, art, and literature. One elective may be independent study and one may be a course equivalent for prior learning. The program provides students an opportunity to pursue a credential of concentration in a specific field of study. The student must complete 40 percent of the program, or 12 credits, in a concentration, including two electives and the thesis.

Transcipts of applicants submitting international credentials must be evaluated by World Education Services (WES). Students who are not native speakers of English must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and achieve a minimum score of 550.
