Post-Master's Learning Disabilities Teacher/Consultant Certification Program;Post-Master's Teacher of the Handicapped Certification Program
Our newly revised M.A.T. program consists of a core of courses completed by all students plus various specialization courses to meet certification requirements in a particular discipline. An immersion option allows a cohort of full-time students to complete the program in one calendar year. Students who are employed full time may complete the program on a part-time basis. The M.Ed. program offers 3 tracks: Option I provides advanced work for students who hold a standard special education certificate; Option II prepares students who are certified in another area for certification as teacher of the handicapped; Option III, available through special advisement, provides for advanced certification as a learning disabilities teacher/consultant. The M.S. in Educational Technology program, offered in collaboration with the School of Engineering, prepares certified teachers to become leaders in the integration of computer technology into their schools.
