MEd in Curriculum and Instruction: Integrated Teaching Through the Arts - New Hampshire
Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Curriculum and Instruction: Integrated Teaching through the Arts (K-12)
Reinvigorate your teaching while working to increase student engagement and achievement.
Enhance and enliven your teaching as you learn to develop effective teaching strategies to address the needs of all learners by integrating arts into the curriculum. This approach to teaching allows students to construct and demonstrate their understanding of academic content through various art forms. Examine the theory and practice of arts integration, critical pedagogy, the role of the arts in community, and various arts disciplines such as visual arts, music, poetry, drama, and creative movement.
With the practical, relevant nature of the coursework, you can use your classrooms as a laboratory to test, implement and evaluate the lessons learned in class.
Program ends with an action research project and seminar, in which you design research that can have a direct impact on your school community.
Program is aligned to National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS), Common Core, and state standards
