MBA in Human Resource Management
Franklin Pierce University’s M.B.A. in Human Resource Management has an emphasis in Strategic
Human Resource Management. This program is one the few master’s programs in the United
States and the only one in New Hampshire, that addresses all of the Society for Human Resource
Management’s (SHRM) critical competencies for Human Resource (HR) professionals.
Coursework first prepares students to look at organizations from a system-wide perspective and
apply strategic thinking and critical analysis. Then students are provided the opportunity to apply
their learning to authentic environments such as their current job or their community. Graduates will
be well-prepared for careers as Directors or Vice Presidents of HR, Senior HR Specialists, Senior HR
Generalists, or as business leaders with a strategic Human Resource Management focus.
The M.B.A. in Human Resource Management program is designed to meet the needs of working
adults. Classes are available online or in a hybrid (combination of traditional classroom and

Senior HR professionals from U.S. Cellular, Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, Entelechy Inc., the
United States General Services Administration, GOAL/QPC, Aegis Consulting and Solutions, the
Society of Human Resource Management New Hampshire State Council and the Northeast Region,
as well as other employment law and training industry leaders. The purpose of the council is to support
the continuous improvement of the program and to share their knowledge and experience regarding
HR with Franklin Pierce University students through informal and formal networking opportunities
