Program Description:

The Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis creates positive social change through its path-breaking research and educational excellence. The Brown School's international community of faculty, students, and graduates works throughout St. Louis, across the country, and worldwide to apply new knowledge and use the best available evidence to impact policy, practice, and service delivery. The School offers doctoral, Master of Social Work, and Master of Public Health degrees. The School is also home to 11 research centers and applied programs.

International Student Requirements:

In addition to the general requirements for admission, international students must meet the following criteria: (1) English Proficiency: minimum of 100 IBT or above on the TOEFL or 7.0 or above on the IELTS. (2) Proof of Financial Support: international students must provide a financial affidavit and supporting documents as evidence of support to cover educational and living expenses for the academic year. (3) WES Evaluation: transcripts from colleges and universities outside the U.S. must be evaluated by World Education Services (WES). International students are automatically considered for scholarships if they indicate interest when prompted in the application. There is no separate form required to apply for scholarship. The Brown School does not provide tuition waivers or graduate teaching assistantships.
