Program Description:

The Program Experience The MSIS Experience offers a comprehensive, 36-unit curriculum designed to position you for a fast-track career as a business technologist. This unique program is professionally focused to enable the student to quickly obtain a highly preferred master’s degree and accelerate their entry into the labor force. This will take place by delivering a course of study that is relevant to today’s business needs. Within the MSIS program students have the ability to choose between two different curriculum formats, a program with an internship or without an internship. Students in the Information Systems program are offered the choice between three different focus tracks: Leadership Track Cyber Security Track Big Data and Predictive Analytics Track Leadership Track Includes: 5 course equivalents (15 units) in Business and Technology Fundamentals of Computer Science Programming Concepts and Practice Financial Principles of the Company Telecommunications Management* Professional Speaking & Presentation Skills for Technical Professionals *Telecommunications Management is the prerequisite for the capstone course. 6 course equivalents (18 units) in electives in Leadership Track Organizational Behavior Ethical Issues in Managerial Decision Making Technical Writing Skills Art and Science of Risk Management Advance Application of Risk Management and Decision Analysis Economics of Technology Seminar in Enterprise Transformation Developing Leadership for Professionals Life Cycle Cost Analysis Principles of Strategic Planning Perspectives on Innovation and Technology Executive Perspectives for Technical Professionals Service Management Optional 3 credit hour semester long internship A Capstone Course is required to finalize degree requirements (3 units).
