Program Description:

A successful engineering professional faces challenges that require skills ranging from technical and scientific to interpersonal communication. With these needs in mind, the School of Engineering & Applied Science offers both degree and non-degree education opportunities for professionals to enhance their management, leadership and technical capabilities in this program. Students are offered the following courses in this program: Complete the required courses from the following list: Principles of Strategic Management Strategic Management of Technology Project Planning and Administration* Leadership for Technology Productivity & Quality Control Principles of Operations Management Decision Making Under Risk In addition to the core courses, students will choose one focus area: -Analysis -Project Management -Analysis Focus courses Select four of the following courses: Applied Statistics Operations Analysis Systems Engineering & Analysis Applying Innovations in Organizations Strategies of Projects, Programs, and Portfolios Economics for Technology Elective courses Select one of the following courses: Foundations of Project Management Project Management Standards Human Performance in Engineering Engineering Law -Project Management focus courses Select four of the following: Managing Teams & Projects* Applying Innovations within Organizations* Project Management Standards* Foundations of Project Management* Financial Principles of the Company Elective courses Select one of the following courses: Applied Statistics Systems Engineering & Analysis Economics of Technology Engineering Law *If you complete the five required courses for the Graduate Certificate in Project Management, you may earn the Master of Engineering Management and the Graduate Certificate in Project Management. However, you must submit an application and be admitted to the Graduate Certificate in Project Management.
