Program Description:

The degree is flexible, allowing for music and music education electives in specialized areas. The degree consists primarily of music education courses with two education electives. Students may pursue the MME alongside Missouri music teaching certification. Certification must be earned prior to graduation.

Accreditation:

The University of Missouri-St. Louis is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association. This accreditation applies to all baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral levels. Our next scheduled comprehensive evaluation will be 2018.

International Student Requirements:

Admission to the program requires a bachelor of music in music education (or equivalent) degree, admission to the Graduate School, and two letters of recommendation. Student should also submit a resume, a statement of purpose, and a 20 - 30 minute video of their teaching directly to the Director of the MME program. Score of 6.5 on the IELTS test.
