Program Description:

The MA History program emphasizes depth of knowledge and research competence through a master's thesis or historical knowledge through course work and research papers. In addition, the Department offers a specialized curriculum in Museum Studies that can be pursued as a certificate or an MA degree. A graduate certificate is offered in History Education and in Public History and Cultural Heritage.

The University of Missouri-St. Louis is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association. This accreditation applies to all baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral levels. Our next scheduled comprehensive evaluation will be 2018.
