Program Description:

Designed to meet the needs of those who wish to pursue the study of language and literature at an advanced and scholarly level, our MA program is structured to enable students to gain breadth and depth in the canons of British and American literature for a variety of career and personal goals. Many graduates of the program teach at the secondary or post-secondary levels, while others pursue Ph.D.s at leading universities. The degree offers flexibility in meeting program requirements. The diverse faculty are engaged in innovative research, and small classes allow personal attention from faculty. Teaching assistantsships are available for qualified candidates.


All graduate programs at UCM are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
