Program Description:

Focuses on the academic and clinical foundations necessary for a career in physical therapy. Program graduates are prepared to examine patients with impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities in order to determine a diagnosis and prognosis relevant to physical therapy. They will be able to design, implement, and modify therapeutic interventions to produce changes in their patients' conditions. Our program is somewhat unique in that the curriculum emphasizes the importance of values and professional behavior. Throughout the curriculum, the student is provided with many opportunities to develop professional behavior during interactive lectures, small group discussions, group projects, laboratory sessions, laboratory practical examinations, full-time clinical internships, and interactions with peers and faculty.
