Program Description:
The MinnCResT Program is dedicated to providing innovative interdisciplinary training for the next generation of craniofacial, dental, and oral health researchers. The MinnCResT Program offers training for dentist-scientists (DDS/PhD), PhDs, postdoctoral fellows, and post-DDS postdoctoral fellows who study for an MS in Clinical Research or a PhD. Trainees engage in novel research that is fundamental to biology and human health, and applied research that expands the frontiers and scope of craniofacial, dental, and oral health.
Mission
The MinnCResT Program
• cultivates concepts of interdisciplinary research and puts them into practice;
• models all aspects of the career ladder for scientist-trainees, through exposure to established scientists in settings where discussions can range from how to build a strong interdisciplinary research record to career-life balance; and
• encourages basic science trainees to think translationally about craniofacial, dental, and oral health research problems by providing an intellectually invigorating environment.
Central to the MinnCResT Program mission are the superior mentored research environment for trainees and a robust intellectual program to provide career development and novel interdisciplinary research perspectives.
