Program Description:

Multi-disiplinary program which focuses on social and behavioral factors associated with health status and behavior; and to develop programs to promote health, prevent disease, and manage chronic illness. Most students receive two-year training at the master's level. Small doctoral program available. Research Areas: Health Behavior over the Life Course; Health Disparities: Race, Gender, Class; Gender and Health; Population Dynamics and Health; Research Methods; Interventions from Individuals to Communities to Nations; Health Communication.
