Program Description:

For holders of the Graduate Certificate of Microcomputer Applications in Education (or the equivalent), the Department of Reading and Language Arts offers a 16-credit graduate certificate of advanced study in the theory and application of instructional systems technology in the enhancement of learning environments. This program provides an opportunity for focused inquiry in specific areas of interest relating to the impact of advanced technologies on teaching, learning and literacy in a variety of settings. Doctoral students may pursue this certificate as part of their minor concentration. Students enrolled in the MAT in reading and language arts degree program may use these courses as part of their elective sequence with permission from their adviser. Students may also enroll in the certificate program without pursuing a graduate degree.
