Grand Valley State University's Masters of Science in Engineering program has introduced a brand NEW MSE program in Biomedical Engineering to help engineering professionals on the growing biomedicine industry by teaching them how to match development opportunities with research and bring innovative medical products to market.
The State of Michigan is currently on an economic recovery path that includes expansion of the biomedical sector and our program is West Michigan's only opportunity for graduate biomedical engineering education. Located in the center of West Michigan's promising life sciences sector, the program is perfect for the engineer with an entrepreneurial spirit or anyone with and engineering background that wants to be a part of the continued development of Michigan's future.
The MSE-Biomedical Engineering curriculum consists of the following:
Foundation courses in human physiology to help students effectively communicate with health care professionals and apply advanced technological solutions to clinical problems;
Engineering courses that apply engineering principles to problems in medicine and health;
Medical device design and development courses to evaluate, design, and construct medical products;
Research opportunities employing the methods for effectively translating ideas from concept to bedside.
