Forensic and Correctional Counseling Emphasis in MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling
William James College offers a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in Forensic and Correctional Counseling. Graduates meet the requirements to become a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts. Students complete rigourous course work and extensive supervised field experience prior to graduation.
Forensic and correctional counseling students are trained to work as mental health counselors with individuals, families and systems that interface with the legal and criminal justice arena. Graduates are able to assess, treat, consult and apply a full array of counseling services in forensic and correctional settings.
Our Masters program is built around a flexible delivery model that can be individualized for each student, either on a full or part-time basis. Faculty and administrators provide support, mentoring, career services and access to our academic writing center.
We enroll new students every January and late August.
