The Special Education Programs at Lesley University reflect the Graduate School of Education's tradition of preparing teachers to make a difference for students with special needs in monolingual and bilingual multicultural settings. Our programs emphasize a humanistic and inclusive approach to education, an approach in which problem solving and active learning are promoted for all. The degree programs lead to master of education degrees, and meet the State of Massachusetts' requirements for Initial Teacher Licensure.
The online certificate programs supports the professional development of practicing teachers working with students with special needs or those looking to expand career opportunities.
