Religion/Theology - Master
Harvard Divinity School, through its multiple graduate program offerings, prepares women and men for both lay and ordained ministry across a variety of denominations. In addition, candidates can use their theological degree as preparation for a host of public service vocations including teaching, public policy, medicine, law, clinical and counseling opportunities, and the like. Students, through cross-registration opportunities, have access to the curriculum and faculty of the other Harvard graduate programs. This allows candidates to study the intersection of religion with other allied fields. Harvard also offers a curriculum that includes specific and unique course work in Women's Studies and significant offerings in non-Christian traditions including Islam, Buddhism, and Judaism. Those interested in ministry have a selection of 200 supervised field education sites, multiple worship services, denominational counselors from all main-line traditions which provide guidance for those pursuing ordination, and the continued development of programs germane to ministry.
